Since things are sort of slow until all hell breaks out on list tommorow night, I thought I would update and re-post my finale concept. (With apologys to all non-X Philes) ********** The Mother of All Season Finales, Redeux After much fancy footwork involving changing various uniforms a dozen times and the ingestion of massive quantities of sugar Jarod discovers that his (not even slightly identical) twin is in fact Fox Mulder. (Kyle, he learns, is actually Samantha Mulder after one of Dr. Billy's experiments. Angelo is Krychek's not-so-evil twin and aliens killed Mrs. Parker by mistake, thinking she was Scully.) While investigating their convoluted pasts and dealing with a skeptical Scully ("I want to believe, Mulder, but science can't explain crossovers.") and Sydney ("I want to be believe, Jarod, but why would anyone would name a kid 'Fox'?") they somehow stumble upon yet another box car full of dead aliens sunk into the Mojave desert and Mulder drops his gun. (Jarod: "What is it with you and your gun, anyway?" Mulder: "What is it with you and Miss Parker, anyway?") As the box car is blown up by Cancer Man and his even-more-evil twin Mr. Raines ("Kill 'em both--let Miss Parker sort 'em out!") and Jarod's shirt becomes inexplicably unbuttoned, they together struggle through a mysterious hidden tunnel that ends in Bobby Ewing's old shower at South Fork Ranch, recently renamed "SLeazoid 27". Peering through the dense steam the two disoriented, wet, naked but reunited twins discover Heather Locklear and her twin, both wearing only towels. "Just the two men we've been waiting for!" they exclaim in weird unison, dropping the towels just as smoke fills the room and flames begin to lick at the door. A shot rings out. Mr. Raines, lurking in the shadows, gasps. He also drops his towel. Closeup of Miss Parker, pointing a gun, possibly at Heather Locklear. Artsy, slow-mo shot of a towel drifting to the floor. Is that Broots reaching for it? Suddenly, inexplicably, we see Sydney reaching into his jacket pocket, taking out his gun, pointing it: possibly at Heather Locklear. Skinner lunges for the gun. They struggle. Another shot rings out. We still have absolutely no clue what the hell is going on. Closeup of two white rabbits (twins?) hopping peacefully through the steam and smoke. Another gun shot. As the camera pans back through steam and smoke we hear a familiar Scottish accent: "There's a wee problem, Captain--I can't lock on to just you and the crew!" "Oh, what the hell," Kirk says in disgust, "just beam us ALL up, Scotty!" ***** Roberta
