2. So this isn't just a women's drool fest over the various hotties on all three shows?
A: No, we still attempt to keep the drooling to tolerable levels. We have male members, and discussions also range through fanfiction, the mythology of the show, current and past projects the actors are involved in, character development, and personal issues that have nothing whatsoever to do with the shows.
3. When were the SunS created?
A: The SunS were created June 3, 1997 by listowners Elizabeth Lewis and Dianne DeSha after they made the mistake of volunteering to do so in front of people who wouldn't let them back out.
4. So, what do you have planned for FireFlight? And what's with the name, anyway?
A: Currently, the plan is to continue the traditions of the SunS by maintaining an episode guide/review archive, a quote page, and a fanfiction archive. The episode guide, to begin with, will not include the exhaustively detailed synopses available for Buffy and Angel, but shorter versions thereof, because your webmistress doesn't currently foresee having time to do the long ones (I'm insane, not stupid). This may change if Firefly remains on the air after Buffy finishes its run, or if someone on SunS gets obsessed enough to volunteer to do either synopses or the quote lists. < hint > The traditional SunSpeak will also (hopefully) continue, contingent to how much discussion happens onlist.
As for the name... doesn't it just sound cool?
5. Will writing to complain to you about not updating accomplish anything?
A: Um, it'll piss me off a lot and make me that much less inclined to care about working on updates. Other than that, no, not really.
6. Who is Joss Whedon?
A: He's still God. And the Devil Incarnate. Depending on what episode of what show you just watched. Seriously, he's the creator of all three shows, and a generally kick-ass all-around writer.
7. Can I join SunS?
A: Not really. SunS has a membership cap, and membership is on a sponsored basis. Unless you know one of us fairly well (or have a really excellent bribe available), you are unlikely to receive an invitation to join. Nothing personal, we just need to keep things small to keep them functioning.
8. Will FireFlight be accepting fanfic submissions?
A: For now, the fanfic archive will be for fiction written by SunS members only. If no one on the list feels inclined to write fic, I'll probably open the archive up for outside submissions eventually.
